I've enjoyed reading and watching some interviews of Kirk Cameron and Erin Bethea, who had the leading roles in the movie. The integrity they brought to their roles definitely contributes to the success of the movie. I was especially impressed to learn that because Kirk Cameron has made a commitment to never kiss a woman other than his wife, that he arranged for his own wife to fly in to film the final reconciliation scene. That is one way he has fireproofed his own marriage.
This link contains some great interviews with the actors, writers, directors, and producers:

As providence would have it, I actually had my own interview with Alex Kendrick last night!!
Yes, I ran into him at a youth football game last night (his son's team was creaming my son's team!) and I was able to tell him how much I loved the movie and to ask him some questions about the actors and some of the filming locations. How neat is that?? I never dreamed there would actually be benefits to living in Albany, Georgia!!!

I just got back from watching Fireproof... it was great to see such a different-flavored movie on the regular, big screen
