Weight Loss Wednesday



My life has been so hectic lately that I have not written a Weight Loss Wednesday post in a few weeks. I have not been paying close attention to my diet either, and have enjoyed several family celebrations that introduced extra calories on the scene. Although, I was very diligent to exercise at first, I have let that fall by the wayside too. Today I stepped on the scale and was shocked to see I had gained 4 pounds!!! :o I keep thinking, Surely that can't be right!!!

It is so hard trying to stay focused on weight loss, in addition to trying to keep up with the housework and laundry, the meal prep and clean up, the education of the children at home, the oversight of the education of those who are in school, the chauffering to various activities, the attending of athletic events, the counseling, the celebrating of special events, and everything else that comes with being a mother of a large family. But, this is proof that I can't let up!!

So, I am recomitting myself to fight this "battle of the bulge."


One thing I am going to do is to write down every bite I put in my mouth. I have started keeping a food journal many times, but have not kept it up. So, I'm trying again.


I am also going to enter the T Tapp 60 Day Challenge, which starts on May 15th. My role model is definitely Charlotte, who was the 2007 60 Day Challenge winner in the More to Lose category and the 2008 60 Day Challenge winner in the Less to Lose category. She is my inspiration that this quest is possible for a mom of many!!

I am right there with ya. I put on all 7 seven pounds that I had lost, but I'm back at it again and am down 5. Praise the Lord!

One thing I have found to be very helpful, especially when eating out, is that I require myself to pray before I eat anything. Even if it's just a snack or one bite of something. I pray that God would use it to nourish my body and that it would be pleasing to Him for me to eat it. Trust me...He will tell you when it's not. And then it's just up to you to heed to the Holy Spirits will. I wish the best for you!

I'm too scared to get on the scales. And it's not good that we're heading into winter: comfort food to add weight and lots of layers to hide the tummy bulge. And with a wedding coming up soon I desperately want to look good. Hope you reach your goal. I understand your frustration. Blessings, Jules
