Snow Day!

It snowed!!!  :)  Can you believe it??

What an unexpected treat to get snow here in southwest Georgia!

We only got about an inch and a half -- not a record snowfall, but enough to delight the hearts of children, and those young at heart!  :)

Those crazy kids stayed out until the last vestiges of daylight had vanished!  They couldn't bear to go inside, knowing that the snow would likely be gone the next day!  It was a very wet snow, and they came inside WET and COLD and HUNGRY!  Fortunately, I had two pots of soup simmering on the stove, to warm up their cold little bodies!  And then, we snuggled in by the fire to watch the Opening Cermonies of the Olympics.  It was definitely a gold medal day here!

Looks like everyone had a great time! What about you and Alan? I didn't see the two of you out there playing!!
I am so excited for you that you were able to get a "taste" of the wet, white stuff!! Enjoy it!! Make some great memories while you can!! love you!

How fun for you all. I read where all 50 states have snow. Isn't that amazing?! And I thought global warming was all in charge of things!!! Kind of makes one wonder doesn't it?!

ditto! it was a wonderful snowy day, but I was a bit shocked to see how fast all that snow melted. 4" didn't last very long :(

We are in Georgia too, and we got snow. 3 inches! Maybe more wintery stuff on the way in a day or two.

Looks like everyone had a blast! Beautiful pics.

We got more snow than we'd had in many years. It was fun, but, honestly, I don't think I could stand the snow that lasts longer than two days before it's completely dried up. ;)

The Snow was fun -- but yes, I was not sorry to see it melt the very next day! Snow creates a LOT of extra mess that I would not want to have to deal with all the time!
