Renewing Your Vision for The Home

When your house is a mess and the laundry is piled up, the days long and your patience short, it is easy to become overwhelmed, discouraged, and to lose sight of the importance of your role as a mother and homemaker.  That is why it is important to have a vision to carry you through.

In today's world, the job of mother and homemaker is considered to be dispensable.  Most people don't see much value in a woman devoting her life to her home and family, and honestly wonder what a woman might do at home all day.  They really have no idea of the scope and power of a godly home.

How about you?  Do you have a vision for your home??  If your vision is a bit tarnished, may I suggest that you send your children outside for a bit of fresh air, fix yourself a cup of tea, and sit down and read this wonderful post on The Purpose of the Home!   You will be strengthened and encouraged!

I know that when the house is unorganized and in need of a good decluttering and cleaning I feel anxious! But when I plug away, sort the stuff, dust the bunnies and shine the floor all is at peace. I think it has to do with being in control. We can control this piece of our live by just time and hard work. Then look and around and sigh. So much of our lives and the lives of our family members is out of our control. And as mom's we like to be in control!!
