Wheels!

Every little girl dreams of being a bride.

And every little boy dreams of his first car.

Joshua's dreams came true today.

Well, it may not exactly be his "dream car," but Josh did buy his first set of wheels!  It was a Big Day for him!  And for Alan -- to get one of those expensive under-25-males off of his insurance policy and onto their very own!!!!    :)

Here is his new car.  Don't be fooled by the fact that it looks a lot like a Honda Civic!   ;)

Love it! :) Congratulations to Josh on his first car purchase!
We love Hondas and Toyotas! Our favorite (and most reliable) car was our Toyota Celica in Charleston! We have really missed it through the years....but it wasn't very "family friendly" as it was really a two-seater! But, so much fun to drive!!! :)

I can't wait to get my "expensive teens" off my insurance! :) However, I do receive a discount for Amber being away at college without a car, so that helps some! :) I don't even want to think about Abigail being at the driving age....we are still recovering from the first two! (And, she can't steer a bike straight!!)

Good for Josh. I remember my first car. I inherited it when I got married!! My 16 year old isn't driving yet because of the fact that he has older sisters still on our insurance. I told him to pray for husbands for them then he can get on insurance. Funny thing is though is that he really doesn't seem to care to drive just yet.

Hey Elizabeth! Remember your first car???!!! :)
That was my favorite!!! I was sooo excited when dad gave it to me, but then he sold it! (I think he wasn't ready to pay for two weddings! LOL!)
You should have posted the picture of you with your car!

We still found it cheaper to keep the boys on our joint policy and then just have them pay the amount than them being on by themselves. We have found Liberty Mutual to have very good prices here in NH for under 25 drivers. We saved thousands when we switched. I know every state is different but many of our friends have switched and found the same thing....a huge reduction in cost but not services!!

Terri, thanks for the tip!

We have the others on our insurance, but Josh is a very independent sort of guy who wants to do things for himself and establish himself as an adult. He also has a strong desire to take any financial burden off his Dad. I really appreciate his attitude and initiative!
