Barely Blogging

Have you stopped by my blog lately and found it strangely quiet?  Please don't assume that the state of my blog reflects my life!  Actually, quite the opposite is true!  Generally speaking, the quieter my blog, the busier my days!!

I just got home from spending the last week in the land of "smiling faces and beautiful places" (my home state of South Carolina).  My sister and her family joined me and my family for a wonderful visit with my parents.  Our main goal for the week was to put together a 50th anniversary reception for them, which we did.  Everything came together beautifully, and it was "an epic success," according to one of my sons!  ;)  We had a lot of fun working together to honor and bless our parents, and I'd love to share pictures with you.  However, I failed the first test of a successful blogger -- I did not take a single picture all week!!!!!  Fortunately, my sister took a few pictures, and my niece, Anna, kept her camera busy .  So, whenever they get around to finding their camera cord, transferring pictures to their computer, and emailing them to me  -- I will try to post some pictures and blog about the adventures of my week!

I still have a May birthday to blog about, too, which means I failed the second test of a successful blogger, which is to blog about an event in the same week it happened!  Those bloggers who are really on top of their game actually blog about events in the same day they happen!  I don't think I will ever be one of those bloggers!  :)  Apparently, I struggle to blog about special events in the same month they occur!!  :)

Unfortunately, I have two more birthdays coming up very quickly!  Perhaps, I should just lump them all together in one Big Birthday Blog Post!  :)

If you think I've neglected my blog lately, you should see my house!!  It is even more neglected!  Many projects are begging for attention!  So, I'm afraid I better turn my attention to catching up around the house first, and put blogging on the back burner for a little longer.  I do hope to post some fun and interesting posts soon!!

Just wondering?  Has your summer break been as busy as mine thus far?  Are you finding more or less time to blog now that summer is in full swing??

I am 100% on board with you. I haven't blogged for over a month because of so much "action" at my house. Good family times, but I am starting to feel pretty convicted about my blog! So praying for the Lord to show what/when/where to fit blogging into my day again!! Amen!

I've missed you and I look forward to picks. But to answer your question on being extremely busy I have to say no!!! There are days I wish life were more busier but it doesn't happen too often. I guess that's why I keep school going a bit in summer because otherwise my children would make me crazy for wont of things to do!! I suppose there is some truth in the "lazy days" of summer. At least out here in the country where we live!!

Have a blessed summer.

I am finding it harder to blog in the summer months. It is taking some serious effort! The weather is so nice outdoors and I don't want to be in the house for long!

Good to hear from you!

I've been feeling guilty for not blogging regularly so I'm glad I'm not the only one who lets real life get in the way of such an important thing as blogging! One of my favourite authors blogs infrequently (as in sometimes only a few posts a year) but when she does I always enjoy reading her blog. Same with you. When you're ready, we (your faithful readers) will all be here still waiting to discover your words of wisdom. Blessings, Jules

After several days of no internet access, I anxiously look at your blog to see what neat posts I have been missing! I was surprised to see I am caught up! I was expecting these great pictures of our time together at mom's....about all our wonderful adventures...and NOT having your van break down at EI! :)

I guess I can't be too disappointed in you for not blogging more.....I haven't done any better in that area myself! I guess if something has to go "undone", the blogging world should be the one sacrificed!!

I will have to locate all the camera cords today and download the pictures of our "action packed" week together!! It will probably take all day to transfer the hundreds of pictures between five different cameras!! :)
But, I need to take advantage of having the laptop for a day!

BTW, when you get caught up at home.....mine is in need of a deep cleaning....especially with all this construction mess!
