Beach Schooling

We are on the Georgia coast this week visiting the fellas.  We packed up 4 file boxes full of books so we could keep up with our homeschooling while here.  Chris, Hannah and Luke are taking online classes this year and really enjoying the format; however, yesterday they were not able to access their classes because the system was overloaded!  So, onto Plan B -- the Beach!  :)

Due to Earl, the waves were rougher than normal and a lot of fun for the kids; however, after getting knocked down and scraped up a bit, I decided to sit in my beach chair and look at a magazine instead!  (Yes, I'm a wimp!)  Fortunately, Josh was in the water with the kids, which gave me much peace of mind!  (It's really nice having a life guard in the family!)

We went back to the house about 3 pm and "fortunately" their classes were working!  So, we got a little school work in after all!

After supper, Alan suggested a walk on the beach.  I've found that evenings are one of the most beautiful times on the beach!  While the children threw the frisbee around, Alan and I started walking along the shore.  It was really peaceful until . . . .

Luke ran up to us with the news that Bethany had been hit in the mouth with the frisbee and was bleeding and crying!  So, we hurried back to care for the little lamb.  So much for the peaceful walk on the beach -- Plan B once again!

It is so not "fair" that you can have school at the beach....or that you are even at the beach! :) Amber said she would like to have school at the beach too! So glad the new BJ system is working well for you.....would love to try it, but not God's timing or plan for us right now.

I'm sure Josh loved being in "lifeguard mode" again......it is nice to know the little ones are being watched so we can enjoy ourselves too! What magazine are you reading? I need to renew my Encouraging Word, but haven't yet! Any good new ones I could try?

Sorry Bethany got hurt! Doesn't she know God gave her teeth for eating....not catching things! Or, is this her new technique for getting out a lose tooth??

Hurry home! I miss you! :)

You are going to need to buy stock in sunscreen living at the beach!! The sand looks very white and powdery. NH beach sand is very course. Julian brought a lot home with him yesterday from our visit to the beach.

We just got back from Tybee. The waves were very intense. Hope you are having as much fun as we did.
Blessings

I DID see these beach photos. I even told Peter to come and look at them. We are very puzzled. We are supposed to be on the most beautiful beach in the country. So, how come yours is so white and so wide?? =)
