I'll Think About That Tomorrow!

I enjoy being a southern gal  . . . and definitely identify with Scarlett O'Hara's strategy for coping with life  -- "I'll think about that tomorrow."   :)

I've been that way with our pending move to the coast.  Our last move was pretty traumatic, to say the least, so every time I've been tempted to worry about the packing and moving process, I've just consoled myself with, "I'll think about that tomorrow . . . "

Our actual moving date was uncertain for weeks, so it was easy to avoid facing reality.  But suddenly our time left here in southwest Georgia is "gone with the wind."  The movers are coming today to start packing up our belongings and to squish and squeeze all of the contents of our house into a huge 3-dimensional, rectangular, jigsaw puzzle.  Then, on Friday, the first day of October, a blizzard of boxes will fly off that truck, and I will be "snowed under" for days and weeks unpacking, sorting, organizing, and finding places for all of the random stuff that a family of twelve collects.

Suddenly, tomorrow is today . . . .

Ummmm, I will drive out to the coast to help you unpack if you really want me too! LOL!

Seriously though, if you need some help packing or unpacking and have a floor space to sleep me and the kiddos, I will come help you!

Blessings...

I wish I were able to come help you unpack! I love the "decluttering" that comes with a move! Moving is such an exciting time...full of uncertainty, anticipation, new opportunities and challenges! I like to think of it as a "clean slate" ...

Your house is beautiful, and you have so much extra space in which to place all your treasures! I'm anxious to come visit your new place next summer! Of course, we may never leave..... :) Anna said to tell you that you have excellent artistic taste, and you do great with colors! You will have to help me out up here! :) Come help me do some re-decorating!!

BTW.....enjoy your birthday today!! I hope you can find a birthday cake among the boxes! :)
love you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm the same, I'd rather think about it tomorrow, or the next day...
I'll be praying for you this week as you go through this process.

Good luck with the move - at least you have lots of "helping hands"! :)

And to have to think about it on your Birthday is just no fun at all! Good luck with the move! If it is still in a box from the last time you moved....don't take it with you!!:) You won't be bored for a while that's for sure!!

I was reading your blog and laughing at you title. We get that everyday as well. Are those really all your kids?? We all laugh. We have 10 children as well and trying for our number 11. We would love to have a farm house in the country, but for now we live on the outsides of San Antonio. We enjoy reading how alike our families are!!

May God grant you peace in this crazy process!

While driving down to FL, we sayed over in Macon. I stayed up for hours reading your blog on my phone when I couldn't sleep. It just made me happy to know we were in the same state!
