March Milestones Missed

I have been awarded the Simply Slackest Blogging Award!  ;)  I qualified for this "award" by neglecting to blog about three major celebrations that occured in our family during the month of March!

First of all, Josh turned 19 on March 24th.  We celebrated his birthday the following Sunday.  He greatly enjoyed his birthday meal of Steak, Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus.

Then, Hannah turned 14 on March 29th -- but since she was entertaining an unwelcome guest (a nasty stomach bug!) that day, we just postponed her birthday until April!  (Yes, we reserve the right to reschedule birthdays when necessary!)   I decided to just wait until Tiffany was here for Spring Break, and she and I planned a special day for Hannah.  :)

While I made 2 dishes of homemade macaroni and cheese and some broccoli, Tiffany picked up some Rotissiere Chicken . . . and Hannah's friends!  :)  Hannah was definitely surprised!!  hooray!  :)

Her birthday cake was Ice Cream Sandwich Cake - per her request.

Even though she didn't want to be the center of attention, I eventually persuaded Hannah to open her birthday gifts . . .

The girls enjoyed a variety of activities together during the day, from kickball to watching a movie.  Here they are playing the game that Chris and Luke gave Hannah for her birthday -- Balderdash!!

There was one more celebration, but I've decided to give this event a post of its own . . . so stay tuned for one more missed March milestone post . . .

Happy birthday to your Josh and Hannah. I wonder if her ice cream sandwich cake is the same one we make too. It is one of our favorites.

have a great week end.

Happy birthday to Josh and Hannah!

I hate Hannah was sick on her special day...unfortunately, those "bugs" don't care when they come for a visit!

BTW, I had to laugh with Tiffany and her hats....Burlin has issues with women wearing hats for some reason. LOL! He and Anna have had many discussions over this issue. One time she did research online about hats and fashion! She loves hats too, and has several she loves to wear! No "fancy" church ones though, just playful and fashionable ones!
