Summer Fun

Hi Y'all!

Is your summer proving to be as busy as mine???   Each day is full of things I Need to do and Want to do  and Have to do . . . . and my summer is just flying by!!!

We've been finishing up school, having fun with friends, reading books and watching movies, enjoying out-of-town guests, spending time with oldest daughters/sisters, making memories, celebrating birthdays and holidays, relaxing at the beach, experimenting in the kitchen, etc.

My life is rich and full, and I just seem to get so busy living that I don't have time for blogging!!  But, there's just so much fun stuff to share . . . . so let me see if I can do some catching up!!  :)

This past week, we enjoyed having my sister and her family here from Ohio!!  We had so much fun together!!  Want to see some pics??

This is me and my sis, Rebecca!

We had many fun adventures!  This photo was taken at the Sea Turtle center, where we learned about the fascinating life cycle of the sea turtle.

I believe this was a Diamondback Terrapin, which lives in the marsh.

We enjoyed being beach bums!  :)  Becca's husband, Burlin, found his niche fishing in the surf!

This is "Bruce," one of the sharks he reeled in!

We also had a picnic at our favorite park, where the magnificent old trees beckon young and old!

Their last morning with us, we explored the intriguing, slightly eerie, Driftwood Beach . . .

where many pictures were taken and treasures added to collections.

The most priceless treasure of all?  Fun times shared and memories made with my sister, my friend!

Sounds like you have been having a great summer so far. You & your sister need to start a blog:) Looks like you had a fun time together.

It was a great couple days! Thanks for your hospitality, food, fellowship, and showers (sand!)

We had a great time. Everyone is planning their itineraries for next summer already! The coastal area is so beautiful, we could easily move back to that area if God ever opened the door to do so!

BTW, The shark picture was the first, and smallest of the shark catch. "Bruce" was the huge one that wiggled away before I could get a picture! (I was afraid to walk closer due to watching the jellyfish floating in the water next to me!)

A visit to the beach is always filled with many fun memories, but this trip was extra special because I got to spend time with my *favorite* sister! Thanks for EVERYTHING! :)

You go girl! This line ministered to me because it is where we all should be! At least me, anyway ;-) I am so happy for you, that you are enjoying life to the full and not even thinking about blogging! Although I miss you. Love you
