Headed to the Region Tourney . . . in a Skirt!

I am headed to a Region Tournament basketball game -- it may be Joe's very last game  . . . or not!  Depends how the team plays tonight.  Unfortunately, Joe has a nasty cold, so the other guys will really have to step up to the plate!

The Modest Mom  is doing a link-up on wearing skirts.  I thought I'd share this picture of me headed out to the game, just to show you that you can indeed wear a skirt just about anywhere.

The staple of my wardrobe is always my trusty denim skirt, which can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion.  Here I have paired it with a white, long-sleeved shirt from Old Navy, a school spirit T-shirt, black knee socks, and my comfy Mudd shoes!  This is perfect for a long night in the stands!

I am not "dresses or skirts only" but way back in High School the dress code was knee length dresses or skirts (I went to a Christian school) Yes, you can do anything in a dress that you can do in slacks :)

Julie,
I'm not "dresses or skirts only" either . . . . but I am "dresses or skirts mostly!" :)

Just give me a comfy pair of jeans and I'm good to go! I rarely wear skirts or dresses. And when I need a dress I just hate shopping for one. Just do not like the styles out there! I do wear skirts more in the summer since there are some very cute skirts for summer. But I'm really most comfortable in jeans or pants. Teaching little kids where I'm on the floor, bending over and jumping around lot a skirt just gets in the way! Althought I do love a nice looking suit with a skirt and jacket and pretty blouse. Always thougth if I wasn't a teacher I'd want a job where I could dress in a suit!!:) But I do think I found a dress for the wedding. I only tried on about 25 dresses!!:)
