Do you know what today is?
Today is the birthdate of the beloved writer of children's books, Theodor Seuss Geisel.
Perhaps you don't recognize him by that name . . . but you might recognize his pen name -- Dr. Seuss.
I doubt there are many American households with children residing therein that don't have at least one Dr. Seuss book on the bookshelves or hiding under a bed. His vivid imagination and creative use of rhyme make his children's books truly sublime. ;)
In honor of his birthday, Tiffany stayed up late last night making a "Cat in the Hat" cake for her students. Today, during her library classes, she plans to treat her students to sweet morsels of cake and Dr. Seuss rhyme.
This reminds me of the adorable cupcakes that Hannah made last year for "The Seussification of Romeo and Juliet." Remember that?? Click here to read more! (The directions are on her blog!)
We started off the day talking in silly rhymes!! We love doing that . . . and Tiffany and Hannah are incredibly good at keeping it going!!
Hey, I just had an inspiration -- want to be a little silly today??? How about leaving me a silly rhyme in the comments! Just for fun!! Who's game??? ;)
