Mother's Day with my Mom

I know Mother's Day feels like Old News at this point, but I'm going to blog about it anyway!  :)

I was blessed to be able to spend Mother's Day with my Mom this year, because my parents were in town for Josh and Kristi's wedding!  My Mom and I enjoyed going to church together (thanks to Alan staying home with Matt, who had woken up during the night with croup!), relaxing together during the afternoon, and being treated to a delicious dinner (courtesy of Alan and the kids!).  It was a day to rest and recoup a bit from all the wedding craziness!

I wanted to share this picture, which was taken of us at the Rehearsal Dinner that Friday night.

Now you know why I wanted to go back and blog about Mother's Day -- so you could see a picture of my beautiful mother!  She is one of those rare women who radiates the love of God and only becomes more beautiful with age!!

"Do not let your adornment be merely outward--arranging the hair, wearing gold, or putting on fine apparel--rather let it be the hidden person of the heart, with the incorruptible beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is very precious in the sight of God."  ~ 1 Peter 3:3-4 NKJV

What a great treat you had to spend Mother's Day together!! :)
I didn't even get to call her because she was with you (wouldn't have been able to hear me!)........but I'm sure she understood(I hope!!)

We are quite blessed to have her for a mother!! She is a very godly woman, and mighty prayer warrior! I am amazed (and thankful!) that Amber and Anna will seek her counsel when praying about an issue! She is indeed a very special mother!!

She is beautiful. Her inner spirit shines out in all the pics I've seen of her. I've seen the same spirit in you. What a blessing you all share.
