The Family that Works Together . . .
Last Friday, we all worked late into the night getting items ready for our big yard sale. Then, we were up Early getting everything out before a host of bargain hunters descended upon us!!! We had a tremendous turn out and a very successful yard sale! We got rid of a lot of junk (I mean, treasures!) and transformed our clutter into cash, which will help us pay off a bill we have. Praise God! :)
Matt and Bethany had their own table set up, where they sold golf balls and lemonade by the cup! They had a blast and made some spending money of their own!
Unexpectedly, our yard sale also allowed us to be a blessing to others! It was exciting to see people find "just what they'd been looking for!" In addition, several customers commented on what a blessing our big guys were as they helped them carry purchases to their cars, or load up their trucks, etc. I also had several people make nice comments about our large family, and one lady who wanted to shake my hand! She said she had never met someone with ten children before! ;)
So, I'd say our yard sale was a big success!
Bottom Line: Working together as a family can be fun, a blessing, profitable, and a memory-building time!
