TGIF: You are Special Today! {Link Up!}

Welcome to my link up -- Thank God It's {Family Fun} Friday !!

I want to encourage you to create memories, build family traditions, and have fun with your family!  Because children grow up faster than you think possible . . .

Many families look forward to having a Family Fun Night on Fridays.  Is this something your family does?  Tell us about it!  What are your favorite Friday night activities?  How does your family have fun and create memories together?  Please share!

You are Special Plate

One tradition that has been a part of our family for as long as I can remember is celebrating special days by serving the person to be honored on the red "You are Special Plate."  Back when I just had a couple young children, my Mom bought one of these special plates for me, one for my sister, and one for her.  We have used the Special Plate often through the years on Mother's Day, Father's Day, birthdays, graduations, and to encourage someone who is down.  It is a great way to honor those you love and make them feel  . . . special.  :)

Yesterday was Bethany's turn to eat on the Special Plate!  Another tradition we observe is for the birthday girl or boy to choose his or her birthday dinner.  Bethany's choice was a hit with everyone!  :)

Unbelievably, my baby is now 8 years old!!!

If you want to start a "Special plate" tradition in your family, click here to purchase your own special plate! (Currently on backorder, it should be available in late August.)  Or, you can order a red "You are Special" mug through Amazon.

Your Turn to Share:

How does your family build memories?  What family traditions do you have?  How do you celebrate birthdays?  How do you make each child feel special?

Please share your ideas in the comments section or link up your blog!  You can share any past or present blog post that shares ways to create memories, build family traditions, or have fun as a family!  Just be sure to link back to my blog or add my blog button to your post!

I ABSOLUTELY love the plate!!!! I need me one of those ;)

I love that you make family fun important. I grew up with ZERO, ZIP, NADA for good memories with my family. So, I'm a BIG advocate of memory creating for our clan. It's sooo important to laugh with our families! Thanks for your encouragement!!!
