My sister and I seem destined to have some kind of car trouble when we are in Greenville together! Usually it is the "White Elephant" that causes problems, but this time it was her van, "Black Beauty!" :)
We went out to run some errands for my Dad. Our first stop was Lifeway Christian Book Store for some thank you notes. On the way, my sister noticed that she had to push the brake pedal all the way to the floor to get any brake action. We seemed to be stopping OK, but something wasn't right. When we left Lifeway, the brake light was on, so we headed to the closest Auto Zone to buy brake fluid.
The Auto Zone dude was very nice and helped us put in the brake fluid. We thought our problems were solved . . .
Yes, she leaked it all right out onto the pavement! :( (A very ungrateful response, if you ask me!) ;)
My sister's take on the situation . . .
Yes, two sisters plus one Ford van always seem to spell disaster! :)

The White Elephant has an Adventure
Totally an Adventure
Unfortunately, my sister is still waiting to have her brake line repaired so she can return to Ohio. This is sad news for her youngest daughter, who will have to celebrate her birthday without her Mommy! The good news is that if she had not discovered the problem when she did, she would have headed over the mountains for Ohio, leaving a trail of brake fluid behind her . . . .
Once again, we are so very grateful for God's protection and provision!!
