Why We Extended Our School Holiday

I hope you have had a productive first week of January!  We sure have!  The kids and I devoted ourselves to deep cleaning, de-cluttering and organizing this week.  Doesn't it feel good to start off a new year with "a place for everything and everything in its place?"

I discovered the following sign on the guest bathroom door, after Matt had finished deep cleaning his jurisdiction!  ;)

Obviously, he didn't want any of his brothers or sisters messing up his work!  :)

I thought you might enjoy this glimpse into our week!  What have you been up to this first week of the new year??  Are you back into a school routine or savoring the last drops of your Christmas holidays?

We are beginning on Monday. Like you, things needed to be de-cluttered...and I would much rather start our school days with a place to actually SIT and do our work! ;)

Glad to see you back to blogging!

Naomi@What Joy Is Mine said... that sign! Sometimes I can relate. Tee hee! Yes, we're starting on Monday as well. Got my ideas jotted down and getting those in order. Like you...we put Christmas away and got the house in order. And I'm looking forward to school with my children.

Hahahahaha, I love your title. I was once walking through the grocery with my friend who had no children yet, I have 5. An older lady told us our group of children looked adorable. We both laughed and I claimed them all myself. The smile turned into 'deer in the headlights' and she said "All of them?"

Cleaning is fantastic!!! I like the sign for many reasons!! There should be no trust passing either ;-) Enjoy your break :-)
