Our Christmas Miracle {Part 6}

Welcome back! If you've been following my story of Our Christmas Miracle, this is part 6 and probably the conclusion. If you're new here, or have missed some posts in this series, you'll definitely want to go back and read those first, so you'll know what I'm talking about!  :)  Click here to read the posts you missed:

Part 5

Since the dawn of 2013, we have been on a wild roller coaster ride, as we've gotten excited over house after house only to have our hopes dashed again and again.  It seemed that as soon as we decided we wanted a particular house (that no one else had been showing much interest in), that suddenly there were offers coming out of the woodwork for that house!!  At one point I even quipped to our realtor/friend that if she had any clients that really needed to sell their house, just let us know -- we'd be glad to go look at the house and even put in an offer, because then that house would be certain to sell!  ;)

As you know, it is emotionally and physically exhausting to look at houses, analyze the pros and cons of each in your mind (and on paper), get excited about a particular house and start imagining yourself living in its rooms, and then submit an offer, only to find out you can't get the house, and start the process all over again!

The sheer size of our family and number of vehicles that must fit in our driveway narrows the possibilities quite a bit, and then when you add to that the specific and strict parameters that we were given to work within from our lending institution, it really seemed impossible that we would be able to find anything!  Any other realtor probably wouldn't even have tried to find us a house!  Fortunately, our realtor likes a challenge!  ;)  Plus, we both serve the God of the impossible!

Finally, after many ups and downs, twists and turns, disappointments and shattered dreams, followed by renewed hopes and a multitude of little miracles that could only have been orchestrated by God, I think we have a house!!  I'm sort of hesitant to even say that -- for fear some new wrinkle will mar our plans!  So, just pretend you didn't read that, OK?  ;)

Seriously, we are under contract to buy a lovely home and are scheduled to close on it the last week of March!  How awesome is that??   :)

So, that means it is time for me to get busy and start packing!!!!!  This is going to be one busy month with packing boxes, starting the moving process, celebrating two birthdays in the family, meeting and hosting a blogging friend of my daughter, Hannah's, for a week, and well -- lots of daily life and school work sprinkled in there too!  I hope to keep going with my blog during this time, as there will be much to share, but if it falls silent, just know that I'm probably busy packing boxes . . . or pinning wedding ideas!  :)

I know you can't wait to see pictures of this miracle house we are getting . . . so here is a sneak peek to hold you over until we get in the house and I can show you more!

I'm in love with this fabulous front porch!  Isn't it inviting?!  When it's not too hot and the sand gnats aren't biting, I think it would be a fun place to blog!!  :)  I'm even mulling over the idea of a new series called From my Front Porch!  ;)  Whatcha think??
