Here's a possible solution:
I found this old file box of "House Builders" when we moved to our new house. I remember creating this treasure box way back in the late 1990's to help me connect my daily devotions to the challenges I faced in my daily life.
This is what I did -- early each morning when I read my Bible, I looked for verses that spoke to my life as a wife, a mother, a teacher, a creator of a home for my family. I was on a treasure hunt for specific verses that spoke to problems I faced or offered encouragement to me right where I was (which was often discouraged or overwhelmed).
When a particular verse stood out to me, I copied it on an index card, sometimes once in the King James version and again in the Amplified version. If I had time, I looked up some of the key words in the Strong's Concordance and wrote their meanings on the back of the card, in hopes of finding new insights that would open up the meaning of the verse. Sometimes I wrote insights or a prayer on the back of the card.
You can see a sample from my box of "House Builders" below:

Perhaps looking for "house builders" as you read the Bible each morning will help you practically apply what you read in the Scriptures to the challenges you face in your daily life.
"Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands." ~ Proverbs 14:1
