From my Front Porch ~ April 11, 2014

Welcome back to my weekly series, From my Front Porch, where I share updates from my home and family. My hope is that you'll fix yourself a cup of coffee or tea and imagine us sitting together on my front porch, chatting about life and catching up on the latest news!  I hope you'll join me each Friday on My Front Porch!

It has been a very busy week here . . . with no signs of slowing down!!  At least not until we make it through all the senior stuff and get past graduation and wedding season! So, I'll have to make this a quick porch chat this morning!

I just got home from taking Chris to work.  This is the reward I get for those early morning jaunts.

I just loving living on the Georgia coast and I try to never become oblivious to the amazing beauty all around me!  This week has been absolutely gorgeous with some perfect spring days!  Has spring arrived where you live??

Bethany had a little adventure this past week -- her first broken bone after a spill on a scooter. Fortunately, it's only a buckle fracture and should heal quickly. Her cast is already covered with signatures, and isn't slowing her down too much, but sadly, may interfere with her plans to be baptized on Easter Sunday.  :(

I have a lot to do today to get ready for a big vendor opportunity I'm involved with this weekend!  I'll be representating Lilla Rose at the Blessing of the Fleet in Darien, GA. This is a huge festival, and I'm really excited about the opportunity!

Speaking of Lilla Rose, there is a spring sale going on now through Saturday night at midnight with 10% off select items!  It's a great time to shop for Easter, graduation, weddings, and senior proms!  Click here to take a look around my website. If you are a New Customer to Lilla Rose and you purchase 3 items, I will send you a coupon for a FREE flexi (up to $16 value).  Just email me and let me know you want to take advantage of the Buy 3, Get 1 Free Special!  (elizabeth@yestheyareallours.com)

People say you can't teach an old dog new tricks, but I've been stretching myself and learning how to do lots of new things thanks to Lilla Rose!  One of my recent accomplishments was to create a YouTube video introducing Lilla Rose (definitely out of my comfort zone!).  Then, I googled how to create a QR code and learned how to embed the link for the video in the QR code. Then I ordered new business cards with my QR code on them!  Aren't you impressed??  ;)

Here's my QR code if you want to try scanning it with your smart phone!

Or, you can just click on the link below to watch my video:

Well, I better go organize all my Lilla Rose stuff and get ready for my big weekend!  I hope you have a great weekend!  I'll look forward to seeing you here again next Friday on my front porch!

Thanks for stopping by my front porch for a visit! I'd love for you to take a moment to "sign my guest book" (leave a comment!) so I can know that you stopped by and enjoyed your visit!  Please join me again next Friday on my front porch!

I know your daughter may be a little trooper with her broken arm, and I personally have been through that. It's certainly no fun!

You're right we are having some really beautiful weather in SC. In fact, I'm sitting outside working while my kids play on this gorgeous day. I love these types of day.

I also meant to tell you how impressed I am that you learned how to do the scan code. It's such a useful tool. I'm still learning how to do so many things. I am going to get into the video world more myself.

Wow, look at your learning all that stuff! I don't even know what a QR code is, lol!

I made my first youtube video but it was an audio of me speaking on "joy in marriage" at a women's conference. I had absolutely NO idea how to get a video on there but did a little googling and finally figured it out!

So sorry about your daughter's arm but glad it's going to be o.k. Love that bright color!
