From my Front Porch ~ June 20, 2014

Welcome back to my weekly series, From my Front Porch, where I share updates from my home and family. My hope is that you'll fix yourself a cup of coffee or tea and imagine us sitting together on my front porch, chatting about life and catching up on the latest news!  I hope you'll join me each Friday on My Front Porch!

Someone left the sweetest comment on my Facebook page last week, saying that it didn't feel like Friday until they had read my Front Porch Friday post!!  That sure made me smile!  :)  If you happened to miss my post from last Friday, where I shared about our two homeschool graduates, you can read that post HERE.  Make sure you watch the slide shows too!  :)

Last Saturday, Hannah and I made a last-minute decision to go to SC for the weekend to celebrate Father's Day with my Dad! Hannah took this selfie of us on the way!  :)

We had a great visit with my Dad!  I'm so glad we decided to go!  Mom was weak and weary and we tried not to overdo our time with her, as too much company always takes its toll on her.  :(  It was also great to spend time with my sister and to get to see my daughter, Ashlyn!  :)

I love this picture of my Dad and my sister and me, which we took after church on Sunday, when we went outside to light the grill. My Dad said he felt "honored" to have been a part of this picture, as it was his first "Selfie!"  :)

We got home Monday evening and this week has been full of ups and downs.  The most discouraging part has been the digging up of our yard for our "fun" new septic system.  :(  When I saw the total projected cost, I thought sure I was seeing double.  :(

So, we escaped the mess and depress by spending a glorious day here:

We are so blessed to live near the beach!  :)  We are also blessed to live near this sweetness!

Sarah had a tough decision to make -- foot or bottle??

I'm late leaving to pick up my son from work, and I have a real life visitor on her way to my front porch, so I must close our porch chat for today!  I'd love to hear about your week, the ups and downs, the good and bad!

Thanks for stopping by my front porch for a visit! I'd love for you to take a moment to "sign my guest book" (leave a comment!) so I can know that you stopped by and enjoyed your visit!  Please join me again next Friday on my front porch!

We are currently waiting on our little guy to make his grand entrance into the world. He is still breech so we have been praying that he will flip so I do not have to have a c-section. We have placed in situation in God's hands knowing that he already has a plan for him.
