Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Peppers {Low Carb}

After seeing a picture similar to this on Pinterest, I decided to create my own version of this recipe.  I made this for supper last night and it was really yummy!  :)  My only complaint was that the peppers didn't get quite done enough, so I think that next time I make this I will pre-bake my peppers for about ten minutes before adding the filling. 

Philly Cheese Steak Stuffed Pepper Recipe
  • Green Peppers (at least 1 per person)
  • Sweet onions
  • Provolone Cheese (2 slices for each pepper)
  • Steak-um's Philly Cheese Steaks
  1. Cut the tops off your bell peppers and clean out the insides.  Reserve pepper tops and chop up. 
  2. Place the peppers on a baking sheet and line the insides of each pepper with a slice of provolone cheese.
  3. Chop onions and cook the onions, chopped pepper tops, and Steak-Ums (broken into pieces) in a bit of butter in a skillet. 
  4. Stuff the peppers with the pepper, onion, Steak-Um mixture.
  5. Cover each pepper with a slice of provolone cheese.
  6. Bake at 350 for 10 to 15 minutes, or until cheese is melted and mixture is bubbly.
