Tuesday's Tip: How to Prepare for Your Day

Train yourself to rise before your family and prepare yourself physically, emotionally and spiritually for your day!  It may seem difficult at first, but it is so worth it!  In fact, I don't see how you can have peaceful and productive days without this practice!

"She rises also while it is yet night, and giveth meat to her household and a portion to her maidens."  ~ Proverbs 31:15

The Amplified Bible puts it this way ~ "She rises while it is yet night and gets [spiritual] food for her household and assigns her maids their tasks."

Knowing that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit, you might look at it this way.  Begin your day by preparing the inside of the temple, as you spend time behind the veil with the Holy of Holies. Then, proceed to the outside of the temple as you prepare your physical body for the day  -- through physical exercise, perhaps, daily personal grooming and dressing for your day.  Then, move into the outer courtyard ~ your home ~ and prepare it for your day. In this way you will be ready to minister to your husband, your children, your neighbors, your community, your world!

So true! I know this, but needed this reminder today. It's tough when being woken through the night, but terribly frustrating to end each day feeling behind and never having enough hours in the day.

It's really hard when our day takes off without us! I find it is generally better to get up early and catch a nap later on, if need be.

I agree. I recall getting up early before my babies. I loved the quiet time.
