From my Front Porch ~ October 17, 2014

Welcome back to my weekly series, From my Front Porch, where I share updates from my home and family. My hope is that you'll fix yourself a cup of coffee or tea and imagine us sitting together on my front porch, chatting about life and catching up on the latest news!  I hope you'll join me each Friday on My Front Porch!

Sorry I didn't make it to my porch last Friday -- I was one sick puppy!!  Nothing like a good stomach virus with high fever to take the starch out of you!!!  :/

Fortunately, I'm all better . . . and no one else got it!  Can you believe that??

I had planned to tell you about my previous weekend -- when Alan and I (plus Bethany) went to SC to visit my parents! That's still the top story of the last two weeks -- so I'm going to share about that today.

It was great to see my Mom and Dad!  Mom was feeling pretty good, considering! She looks great, doesn't she?!? :)

It was really important to Bethany to see her Nanny when she was looking and feeling good - so she could remember her that way instead of the way she had last seen her!  Isn't that sad and sweet??

Mom has been using up scraps of yarn making the cutest little baby hats!  Check out this one on Sarah!

While in the upstate of SC, we drove to Sky Top Apple Orchard to pick apples.  That used to be a yearly tradition when we lived in that neck of the woods.  This is me and my Dad picking apples together!

That night we were able to connect with Tiffany and Ashlyn, who are both living in the area now, for dinner at Smoke on the Water . . .

and coffee at Spill the Beans!  There's nothing like a night out on the town in downtown Greenville with those you love!  <3 font="">

I'm late picking up Chris from his job, so I've got to run!  Just wanted to make sure you saw yesterday's post highlighting Fall Fashion and the Lilla Rose Sale!  :)

Thanks for stopping by my front porch for a visit! I'd love for you to take a moment to "sign my guest book" (leave a comment!) so I can know that you stopped by and enjoyed your visit!  Please join me again next Friday on my front porch!
