Tuesday's Tip: A Healthy Eating Tip



Today I want to share a cooking tip.  If you are on a low carb or carb conscious diet or are just trying to incorporate more vegetables into your nutritional eating plan, you will like this new product I discovered (thanks to my friend, Martha)!



This product may seem gimmicky, but I found it to be a really helpful tool, because it makes it fast and simple to take a zucchini or yellow squash and turn it into healthy "spaghetti noodles!"  The flavor of the squash is mild, and barely discernible under some yummy spaghetti sauce! 

I cook my family's pasta in my big pasta pot, take out the colander insert and drain their noodles, and then throw my veggie noodles in for the last couple minutes while I'm serving the meal.  I've also tossed them in the steamer basket with great results.  This healthy swap is so doable for a busy mom thanks to this little gadget!

I purchased mine at Bed, Bath and Beyond with a 20% off coupon!  You may be able to pick this little guy up at a discount store, I'm not sure.  Let me know if you try one out!
